Horror trailer 3

The reason I have chosen this trailer is because it exemplifies the "indie horror" film. Although it never shows the monster, it is still regarded as a terrifying film because it lets the audience's imagination do all the work. This is the effect that our film will hopefully emulate.

The concept that I find most useful from this trailer are the subtitles stating that the following film is the footage from a camera found in the woods. This has the following effects. First, it gives context to the story. Second, it suggests a sense of the film being "real". Third, since the characters in the film are stated to have already disappeared, it creates a sense of foreboding for the rest of the film: we want to unravel the enigma behind their disappearance.
